CTAEX receives training in extraction equipment and techniques

Events ·

On 15th and 16th November 2022, three technicians participating in the agromatter project of CTAEX have received training related to the subject of the project.

In this training, different equipment and extraction techniques were handled, such as:

  • Subcritical water extraction
  • Microwaves
  • Enzymatic
  • Ultrasound

The demonstration of these techniques was carried out on agricultural by-products.

On the other hand, training has been developed in the analysis of active principles and different techniques such as:

  • Caffeicacid
  • Chlorogenicacid
  • Limonin
  • Hesperidin
  • Cynarin
  • Vitamin C
  • Catechin
  • Electrical impedance techniques for determination of antimicrobial and antioxidant capacity.
  • PCR technique and Elisa test (for the determination of allergens, pathogens, GMO's).

This event has served as a training action due to the new knowledge acquired related to agromatter. The final objective is to implement some of the techniques and analysis of active ingredients in CTAEX according to its technological capacity.
